FPL Volunteers Help St Augustine Resident

By Gina Birmingham

There’s something powerful about community showing up for neighbors.

Florida Power & Light (FPL) teamed up with St. Johns Housing Partnership to love on one of our longtime Lincolnville residents in a big way in February during their Power to Care Week

Through the City of St. Augustine Fix It Up Program, important repairs were already underway and today was the beautiful finishing touch. Fresh exterior paint. Light landscaping. An energy audit to help lower future utility costs.

FPL volunteers arrived ready for work and wasted no time getting color on the house. They even brought flowers and a new address plaque to brighten her entry. The screened porch is getting refreshed too, the kind of details that make a house feel cared for again.

It is what partnership looks like. Not just repairs, but pride restored.

The St. Johns Housing Partnership is grateful for corporate partners like FPL who roll up their sleeves and invest in the neighborhoods that make this community special.
