Hosts of PBS Series ‘Home Diagnosis’ Visiting SJHP, St. Augustine Next Week

ST. AUGUSTINE – Season three of the PBS TV series Home Diagnosis will be filming in St. Augustine next week in conjunction with the St. Johns Housing Partnership (SJHP).

The upcoming season is all about disasters, natural and human-made, and building resilience, making Florida a perfect setting.

“Home Diagnosis,” created by Atlanta-based home performance experts Grace and Corbett Lunsford, is the first-ever series on the physics, chemistry, and microbiology of homes, airing on public television stations nationwide.

“Our TV show is all about educating homeowners about to ask for proof the work was done right and proof they got what they paid for. And about showing building pros that there’s a path for making a better living doing better work for happier clients, using measured performance,” Grace said.

Past episodes included The Proof Is Possible Tour in season one as they used diagnostic testing and their high-performance tiny house on wheels “#Tinylab” to solve mystery problems of all types in homes, new and old, in cities across America. That’s when SJHP Executive Director Bill Lazar met the Lunsfords, as St. Augustine was the kick-off city in 2016.

“Their ‘Home Diagnosis’ show, and YouTube ‘Home Performance’ channel aims to educate everyone about the science of homes. Healthy homes are what we strive for in our construction of new green-certified affordable homes,” noted Lazar. “A green and healthy home supports the well-being of the people living there in many different ways.”

Season two told the story of the science of homes over 13 episodes as the Lunsfords built their own 3,000 sq. ft. forever home in Georgia’s capital city.

“My goal is to package building performance so it can easily be understood and used by professionals and consumers alike, for better buildings worldwide,” added Corbett.
