Vested Metals Volunteers with SJHP to Build Wheelchair Ramp

Vested Metals recently had the opportunity to serve with the St. Johns Housing Partnership, building a wheelchair ramp for a family in need.

The St. Johns Housing Partnership (SJHP) is committed to promoting safe, decent, and affordable housing in North Florida. They do this by creating links between the public and private sectors on projects that create low- and moderate-income housing and rebuild neglected homes and neighborhoods, thus benefiting disadvantaged areas and enhancing community economic and social development.

“SJHP Executive Director Bill Lazar was gracious enough to come and speak with us recently about the creative work the Partnership is doing not only to address affordable housing and workforce housing, which I believe is needed now more than ever, but he also shared some of the work they do to help families in need on specific household projects,” explained Viv Helwig, Vested Metals President.

“Bill has done tremendous work over many years and there is no one who understands this issue better. I thank everyone on the SJHP team that was so welcoming and all of the Vested team members who gave their free time to give back to serve our community in this much needed manner.

This is just the beginning of the work we will do together to serve others in need.”

SJHP has several people in need of ramps. Please consider a donation of any amount at https://sjhp.networkforgood.com/…/98955-how-can-you…
